Pellissippi State offers four area locations, including one in Blount County.  Offering classes in Blount County since 1985, the new facility located at 2731 W. Lamar Alexander Parkway, is slated to open in May 2010 and will accomodate 1,000 students.

Pellissippi State offers two-year associate's degree programs: Career Programs which prepare graduates to directly enter the workforce; and Transfer Programs, which prepare them to continue on for a four-year bachelor's degree.

Roane State provides transfer and career preparation study options, as well as continuing education and developmental education. The transfer program is designed for students who plan to transfer to senior institutions, while the career preparation program is meant for students desiring an Associates Degree.
